If the thought of leaving your current job seems daunting, then don't forget that there are very many opportunities to start other businesses on a part-time basis. Using your computer and the internet is an excellent example of this, as you can get started for practically no cost, and spend just an hour a day, or even just a few hours at the weekend, if that's all you can manage.
When starting your part-time business, try and envisage where you want to end up with it - is it something to just add a little extra cash to your income every month? Or is it going to be job-replacing income? Then decide how long you are going to take to achieve your outcome - if it's an extra thousand dollars per month, you might give it six months, but it you're planning to leave your job, then you might aim for a couple of years. Once you have a goal in mind, you can start to break it down into smaller steps; so in the first example, you might work backwards, and think of making 500 dollars in 3 months, 300 in 2 months, and 150 by the end of the first month. Then you can think, "Well 150 per month is only 5 dollars a day - I'm sure I can do that!" With the many money-making opportunities around, it is easy enough to scale up once you have a system that starts off making you 5 dollars per day.
