"We buy from people, not companies..."

"We buy from people, not companies..." - this is something I just read, actually in a car enthusiast's forum. But it is something for all marketers to think about.

This was a guy prepared to travel an extra hundred miles or so, because he found a car dealer who provided great service. His more local options did not provide a such a good feeling on first contact.

It's worth thinking about how you treat any enquiries you receive - be of service to everyone you meet, even if it's obvious they're not buying anything right now. Build great relationships - you never know what may come of them in the future!
